How cool! We're able to print full color on all 3 edges, and of course on the semi-flexible cover. These have 100 sheets of 60# white text paper (college ruled) and we can change them to have blank white sheets instead as well. There are also 12 flat elastic closure colors to choose from. Available in a 5" x 7" and a 7" x 9" size.
I'm sure you've heard of these American-Made journals, but if not, let me introduce you to Shinola. Shinola is a Detroit-based American luxury lifestyle brand with retail stores worldwide. They partner with specific American manufactures to make more than just journals --- we're talking watches, leather goods, bikes, jewelry, etc ... they are also opening up a hotel in 2018! --- with the goal to bring manufacturing jobs back to Detroit and this country. Their obsession with quality and craftsmanship is what sets them apart from other companies, as Shinola goods are made to last you for years to come.
Check out their custom journals below - all American-made and made from all US-sourced components. Shinola journals are manufactured to exacting specifications using domestic, sustainably-cultivated sources for its paper, and I don't want to forget to mention the Smyth sewn, lay-flat binding that's super awesome ;) These journals come in two different cover options (linen hardcover or linen softcover) and in three different sizes (Small-3.75x5.5-, Medium-5.25x8.25- and Large-7x9).
I'm obsessed. These lay flat journals are really great because they, well, lay flat when you open it up. There have been so many times where I have a phone in one hand and I'm trying to write in a journal in the other, only to find myself holding the phone up between my cheek and shoulder, just because I need the other hand to hold the left side of the journal down so I could write in it!
Well, fear not my journal jotting friends, you won't find one side of this journal trying to close itself on you while you write in it!
These lay flat journals have a black fabric book binding that allows this to lay flat, along with a black elastic pen loop built into the spine (pen not included). There are also different ways we can customize these journals, such as adding a flat or round elastic closure, custom printed front or last page spread, custom printed belly band, business card pocket or we can even add and insert a pen. There's a 5" x 7" and 6" x 8.5" size and we can either print a glossy, full color front cover or pick from various cover materials such as recycled boards available in a range of colors, or even leather! You can also choose between 100 lined or graph paper sheets, or why not both?!
For those of you who know about stone paper (if you do not, look into my past posts), here is the next new thing: these journals are made from apple residuals and other vegetable fibers that are ground and emulsified into organic paper! The cover is also an Eco-peel cover (made of 70% recycled leather materials and 30% apple peels). This journal comes in three sizes (3 11/16" x 5 5/8" vs 5 1/4" x 8 3/8" vs 7 11/16" x 9 15/16") and in 6 different colors; check the colors out below:
Great giveaway for conferences, meetings, welcome kits, everyday use. This blue one is my favorite, for now, since I tend to go from notebook to notebook to test them out. It has a really nice faux leather cover with a rounded elastic band - it's very retail looking ... now imagine your brand on it - beautiful! Matching twist / stylus pens are also available.
I can't tell you how heavenly these covers feel. They're made in Italy and the cover feels like real leather. People LOVE these and they come in various sizes and types. We can also produce a journal with a colored elastic band + a custom button (can move up and down the band), which makes for really beautiful, sleek branding (also known as the Lanybook).
With these saddle stitched journals, you're able to take branding to the next level by creating custom sets. For example, we could take three journals and wrap them with a custom printed bellyband. The three journals can all have different covers. We could also include one tip-in page (printed 4CP on one or both sides) where you can include more information - more information about your organization, schedule of events, event map, contact information, etc. Total branding at its finest.
I've been a huge fan of stone paper since I heard about it a few years ago. First off, let me explain what stone paper even is. It's a mix of 80% stone (calcium carbonate) and 20% HDPE (high density polyethylene - a non-toxic resin to act as a binder) - NO trees OR water are used, at all. To add to it, it's also tear-resistant, water-resistant, oil-resistant, photo-degradable and antibacterial. AMAZING, right? What's even more amazing is the feel of the paper and how dreamy it is when you write on it - your pen just glides over this extremely smooth, eco-friendly paper. These come perfect bound, spiral bound, and saddle stitched.
Stone paper bags are also available (nice gift bags).
These are so awesome-looking! It has the luxurious look and feel of wood; the cover consists of a unique mix of wood and paper (so the cover isn't a thick piece of wood, it's the weight of a normal journal). They're perfect bound and comes in three sizes: 4" x 6", 5" x 7", 5.5" x 8.5". Contains 100 sheets. Love the simple, natural look.
