You probably recognize Carhartt - known for its work clothes like jackets, coats, overalls, vests, shirts, jeans, fire-resistant and hunting clothing.  Carhartt is still a family-owned company, headquartered in Dearborn, Michigan.  Famous for its full-cut, wind-resistant, snag-proof heavy-duty work jackets popular with construction workers, miners, farmers, hunters and outdoorsmen, Carhartt has also successfully expanded its appeal to non-industry and non-farming audiences.  You'll be seeing this brand out and about more!

Below are just a few apparel items ... keep in mind that the jackets/hoodies/sweatshirts are made to be a little shorter in length .... this is to account for room for tool belts and such!

Two Awesome New Pens

3/13/2019

These pens have a matte black, soft-touch barrel with chrome laser engraving where the engraving color matches the color of the stylus end.  They have the perfect weight to them and they write super well!  The color options are gold, silver, red, blue and green.  I'm usually not into stylus pens but I actually love this one; the colored stylus end doesn't make it necessarily look like a stylus pen ... I think because the laser engraving color essentially matches the stylus end, so it looks like an overall nicely branded item.  Is it weird to say that these also click well, because they do.

These pens have a rubber touch coating with a metal magnetic cap and soft hybrid ink.  The cap being magnetic is a super nice touch (but really)!  You can feel the magnetic closure when closing the pen and also when putting the cap on the other end.  These also write really well with the hybrid ink.  Available in black, blue and silver.  The pictures do not do this item justice - you really need to write with it, try the magnetic cap out, and you will love it!  (I didn't know I could love a pen so much)

Hybrid ink:  think half ballpoint, half gel ink... you're able to write solid, densely colored lines normally found with rollerballs, but with the fast-drying, non-smudging characteristics of ballpoint pens (perfect for left-handers).  Hybrid ink also doesn't dry out like conventional gel ink rollerballs, providing a longer shelf life.

Custom Sublimated Nylon Bags

LOVE these bags!   They're great quality and the entire surface of the bag can be customized with your branding.  These also have a built-in pouch so they're foldable.  The ripstop nylon is light but tough enough to hold more weight than you'd ever want to carry.

There are three available sizes to choose from (or create a set!):  Small (11.375"W x 19.375"H x 5.5"D), Medium (20.375"W x 25.875"H x 5"), and Large (19"W x 29"H x 8"D).  One of the best parts?  The minimum starts at 25 units!

Just a few new favorites:
Picture
16oz Host Revive Glass Water Bottle with a soft-touch silicone sleeve and top handle for easy carrying.  I've been using this for a couple weeks and I love it / it's been getting a lot of compliments!  I also now wish my favorite tumbler had a carry handle.  There haven't been any issues after washing it either; if you see any water trapped under the silicone sleeve, just easily wipe with a towel and it'll be dry again.

12oz Asobu Ultimate Mug.  Double wall vacuum insulated copper lined 18/8 stainless steel with ceramic inner coating.

22oz Hip Bottle.  Reminiscent of a hip flask, the shape is flatter than the standard water bottle, allowing Hip to be easily carried in backpack or handbag. Through a partnership with Water for People, every Hip product purchased provides two days of safe drinking water to people in need. You buy a stylish water bottle and someone across the world takes a safe drink of water. Because it's Hip to Give Back!
Picture
22oz Speckled Thor Copper Vacuum Insulated Bottle.  The double-wall stainless steel vacuum construction with copper insulation allows your beverage to stay cold for 48 hours and hot for at least 12 hours. Complete with the on-trend, durable speckled powder coating and a stainless steel screw-on, spill resistant lid with the natural bamboo top and a durable stainless steel hand loop. It features a wide opening for comfortable filling and pouring. Perfect for ice cubes and fits most standard car cup holders.  Love how you can do a laser etching on the bottle AND on the lid!
Picture
14oz Double Wall Ceramic Tumbler with Ceramic Lid.  This fits under most corporate coffee machines (!) and is microwave safe (remove silicone stopper on the ceramic bottom before placing in the microwave).

17oz Asobu® Inner Peace.  Want to drink from a glass bottle but you're afraid it will break? The double-wall Asobu® Inner Peace Glass Bottle is the answer.  The outer wall is made of temperature resistant, shock proof TRITAN, while the inner wall and spout are made of glass. The inner glass liner is protected by two cushioned sections made of soft silicone. This completely protects the inner glass liner from severe shock and breakage. The outer TRITAN wall adds additional protection.

2019 Edition Global Ad Impressions Study by ASI

3/6/2019

Conducted yearly by the Advertising Specialty Institute, findings in this study are based on thousands of in-person and online surveys taken by consumers in the US, Canada, Mexico and parts of Europe.  This survey answers questions about promotional products’ reach, consumers’ perceptions of them and how branded products influence buying decisions and products’ impact on consumer opinions of the advertiser.

This study shows the power of promotional products among consumers on a global scale, and their affordable cost-per-impression (CPI) as compared to other forms of advertising.

Product Ownership

U.S. consumers were asked which promotional products they currently owned. Promotional items are defined as items that have an advertiser’s logo and/or message on them. They are usually given away free by companies to consumers.

As the graphic below reveals promotional pens and drinkware are widely owned by consumers across the United States. Nearly 9 in 10 consumers report owning each. In fact, most categories of promotional products are owned by more than half of consumers!

Staying Power

Respondents were asked how long they keep a typical type of promotional item. Across all promotional products, the average was about one year.  Outerwear, umbrellas and T-shirts stay around longest while Calendars, Writing Instruments and Headwear are kept the shortest amount of time.
Picture

Promo Products Make an Impression

For this section, the average number of impressions each promotional product receives was calculated. The number of impressions a product makes was derived from multiplying how long a recipient has the product by how many people they come in contact when using it by the frequency of its usage. In the U.S., outerwear generates the most impressions (6,100) of any item measured in the study. This is because outerwear is often worn in public places where it can be seen by many people. Other items that deliver a large number of impressions are headwear, T-shirts, bags and writing instruments.

How Many Promo Items People Own

In the study respondents were asked how many promotional products were in their household. The results indicate the average household in the United States owns 30 promotional items! The number varies somewhat by region of the country and age of the respondent, but the fact is that promo products are everywhere in households!
