When you're in that situation where your phone is running out of battery and you have no way to charge your phone.  Your friend however, has plenty of battery life and is totally willing to lend you some power .....

Check back soon for more details ;)

Update 4/26/2016:  Meet the OTG charging cable (device must be OTG supported; which if you have a smartphone you should be covered; there are apps available where you can run it and see if your phone supports it).  This can transfer power from one device to another - so from an Android to an Android, Android to an iPhone or charge your Android/iPhone via USB output (laptop, portable power bank, etc).  Not only can it transfer power, you can also transfer photos from one device to the other.  Talk about a handy cable to have!  It features a lightning end, micro usb end and a USB with a retractable micro usb end.   It comes in various color combinations or you can customize your own!

Yes - a lamp, in a box.  These Lamp-In-A-Box's lamps are sold in furniture, gift and museum stores, boutiques, catalogs and even record stores ... now you can design your own!  The light bulb isn't included but has a standard light socket which uses 60 watts or lower light bulbs, an on-off pull chain with a matte silver finish base.  Your lamp will come in individually in a corrugated box (duh).

The Umbrella You Can't Lose!  (Unless you forget to sync this to your phone...)

This is actually available for pre-orders on Kickstarter currently, linking it because I think this is pretty cool!  Take a high-quality Davek umbrella (check out the "Wind Machine vs Davek Umbrella" video on that Kickstarter page) and make it "smart" with Davek's Loss Alert:  this umbrella easily syncs to your phone via a free app and once connected, the umbrella will send you a reminder if you accidentally leave it behind!  Basically there's a little chip hidden in the the handle, and once synced to your phone via the app, a silent signal is read by your smartphone, creating in invisible "leash" between your umbrella and phone.  If the distance between the chip and your phone exceeds a certain distance (30 ft or so), the umbrella sends a reminder to your phone.  The chip is powered by a plain coin cell battery and it's designed to go into 'sleep mode' when not in use, so a single battery will last 1+ years (depending on usage).  The battery is easily replaceable.  You'll see that this umbrella is available in three different sizes:  Mini (so mini!), Original and Grande.  Another awesome feature on this free app is the "Last Known Location" feature - your app will show you the last known location of the umbrella if you're not able to find it!

Introducing this 2-in-1 lens featuring a high quality wide angle (0.36x) and macro (15x) lens with a shiny metallic finish and large imprint area to showcase your logo/message.  The universal clip works on smartphones, tablets, and even laptops!  There's also a 3-in-1 option available with the wide angle, macro and a 180 degree fish eye lens.  What's also included is a carrying pouch and lens protectors.  Small enough to throw in your bag or pocket.  It'll make you want to start taking photos!
